Drum Lessons with LeonDrums, our mission is to provide an accessible and effective drumming method that inspires and guides students. We believe that everyone, regardless of their level, can enjoy learning to play the drums and develop their musical skills.

My journey

The teacher
and his method;

My name is Léon van der Geest, and I am the founder of LeonDrums in the Netherlands.
With 25 years of experience as a drum teacher in my own drum school, I offer group lessons and tailored drum instruction.
In 2016, I had the idea to convert my physical lessons into an online platform so that drummers around the world could benefit from my teachings.
This resulted in more than 1,500 short lesson videos that I have recorded.
In 2023, I decided to write and record entirely new drum lessons specifically aimed at beginners.
Additionally, the techniques and presentation of the course have been updated to modern standards.
The lessons are structured in long videos ranging from 1.5 to 3 hours, including sheet music and Spotify playlists.
This provides more clarity and structure throughout the course.
In 2024, I began recording the Dutch course in English. Whether you are young or old, you can learn to drum step by step with my course.
